PUZZLEWOOD   an ancient woodland in the Forest of Dean, UK, moss-thick and untouched by time, hosts a visitor that shouldn't and doesn't exist here: a tropical butterfly, the Blue Morpho, brilliant and entirely out of place. It's a small wrongness, deliberately staged — real ecosystems are already being reshuffled as warming climates push species far beyond their natural ranges, and ancient habitats that took centuries to form now absorb change on a scale of years. This butterfly isn't necessarily a forecast; it's a token of the strange disorder our climate is already setting in motion — a reminder that transformation and fragility are the two conditions every living system shares, from a single wing to an entire forest
KING A cream and brown cockerel is perched on a rusty gate. Behind the gate is a junkyard 'mess' of old signs, barbed wire plastic and weeds.
KING   n the hills above Paphos, Cyprus, the King rules his territory — a scrapyard kingdom of rusted wire, bleached plastic sheeting, and a chemical drum, long since abandoned to weather, half-buried in the weeds. He holds his post with the unshaken authority of a monarch surveying a palace, entirely unbothered that his throne is built from what everyone else threw away. There's something comic and quietly telling in that poise — life claims its ground wherever it can, discarded surroundings or not, dignity intact even when the setting isn't.​​​​​​​
